Here’s an easy way to organize and store memories of Memorial Day weekend and other summer moments like July 4th and moments in and around the home.
If you’re swatting bugs while camping, attending a Memorial Day parade, or hanging out at the house you have plenty of older and newer memories to save and organize.
How do you do it?
I use the platform FOREVER® which is the only true permanent memory storage solution I’ve found. It’s completely guaranteed to last for a lifetime, plus 100 years and beyond.
Learn the benefits of FOREVER® and then scroll down to the end of this post to take a virtual tour and see FOREVER® in action.
You can own your storage space, and if you take the tour, I’ll share how you control access to your account and why the platform is so safe.

Why We Preserve Memories
We memorialize the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. Remembering their service can fill us with gratitude.
But let’s look at Memorial Day, the holiday, and why memories are important.
The National Park Service describes Waterloo, New York as the “birthplace” of Memorial Day although other towns also claim to be the first ones to observe. The first wreaths were placed at Arlington National Cemetery on May 30, 1868, four years after burials started at General Robert E. Lee’s former Virginia estate.
During the late 1800s, businesses in Northern states typically closed and people split the day. A visit to the cemetery in the morning was followed by relaxation and picnics in the afternoon.
The park service says President Grover Cleveland in 1888 went fishing, which made enough people angry that he got chastised in the papers. His miscue is listed as one of the reasons for his defeat in the bid for a second term.
In 1911, the first Indianapolis 500 was held on Memorial Day without much of a whisper.
The traditional 3-day weekend started in 1968 when Congress created the observance of Memorial Day weekend through the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.

Your older memories along with your newer ones can be stored in the same place. I do it.
Connect the past and future.
I have a photo of my grandmother when she was 4 years old, along with our vacation memories of about 20 years ago, and I’ll store more photos like this of my daughter with her niece in the same account.

FOREVER® also has a video option for streaming files so older videos and home movies can be watched instantly from your account and on any device.
Organize Your Memories Easily
Organizing the photos and videos is easy.
Your files are uploaded to a central area called the Library. Once they’re stored, you can organize them into Albums and Nested Albums, plus use Tags to easily identify and filter your photos.
You can imagine how this helps.
Think of having thousands of photos and with just a few touches on your phone’s keyboard or your laptop, you see how many photos you have of your “mother” or “grandfather” and photos marked “vacation 2010” or other identification.
FOREVER® lets you easily see what photos you have or what shots this summer will be good to add.
You Don’t Need to Save Every Memory
You really don’t. You save the most meaningful ones that show your kids growing, your grandkids achieving milestones, and your own life lessons.
FOREVER®’s Many Benefits
Permanence.
FOREVER® is designed and built for permanence. The photos, videos, and documents you store today could be available in the next century and even the century after. Guaranteed.
Digitization
FOREVER® brings your past to life. Digitize your home movies, photos, and film — create joy for generations.
Family Research and Your Family Story.
Write your family story and make use of FOREVER®’s researchers.
Every file has enough space to write a brief description or a lengthier one to convey the importance of the photo, video, or another file you’re saving.
Photo Books.
Easily turn your memories into photo books that can be printed and shared during summer gatherings, as thank-yous and mementos, and as gifts to be given all year long.
I’d love to show you FOREVER® in action.
