You find a postcard from your trip to the Grand Canyon or that special vacation you took to Italy decades ago. And you want to save it for your grandkids and their grandkids.
How do you safely store it? That’s what I’m tackling this week.
Postcards from the past are memories worth saving just like photos and videos. It took skill to write brief notes that described the setting and why it was worth exploring.

It’s just been within the last 15 years that text messaging and uploading to social media have lowered the value of sending postcards.
And yet they’re travel memoirs from around the globe—booming in popularity after World War 2 and into the early 2000s.
Why save them?
They chronicle a person’s history and unique point of view. Postcards, handwritten letters, and awards are part of the legacy we leave so future generations can learn what we were like, what our times were like, and how they were impacted.
I can make the reason why you should save them … but this leads to an important question:
How do you save postcards so they last generations, even centuries, into the future?

Why FOREVER®?
I became a photo coach 28 years ago in March 1995 and I started as a young mother who stepped out of the corporate world and wanted to have an income while raising my preschool children.
During the years, as my children have grown into young adults with their families, I’ve seen the transformation from print to digital.
And FOREVER® is simply the best solution I’ve come across.
Here are two reasons:
- Digitizing all your older memories like postcards, birthday cards, letters and more saves them in files that are easy to share;
- Storing them on FOREVER® means they’re on a platform in an account you can own, and they’re safe and secure for a lifetime, plus the next century and longer.
You can bring all your older memories and your current ones together in one safe, secure place.
So the postcards and birthday cards stored from 50 or 60 years ago can be stored in the same place as e-cards and birthday cards 50 or 60 years from now. And, of course, any postcards that still are in use.
I’ll be glad to share more in the tour.
There’s so much more to FOREVER® like creating photo books and researching your family’s history and I can touch on those in the tour.
